What’s your favorite thing about living in Uptown Dallas apartments? There’s a lot to love, so we understand if you can’t decide on an answer. That being said, we want to explore all the reasons that people love living at One Oak Grove. With that in mind, we’ve decided to start a bi-monthly blog series to address the issue! Whether you’re a fan of the spacious floor plans, the community’s amenities or the surrounding neighborhood, you’ll be able to read this blog to find info about your favorite aspects of One Oak Grove.
For our inaugural blog post, we’ll be talking about our spacious floor plans. Specifically, we’ll be discussing ways to arrange your furniture so that it maximizes the available space in your apartment. Furnishing an apartment is all about making the most of your square footage, and the tips below should help you do just that. Let’s dive right in, shall we? Oh, and when you’re done reading through this post, please feel free to share the link to this page with your friends and neighbors at your community of apartments in West Village Dallas.
Put larger pieces in the back.
Your largest pieces of furniture will come to define the look of your apartment. That being said, you don’t want them to be anywhere near the entrances of your various rooms. This is because of a little phenomenon known as creating clear visual sightlines. The more clear sightlines you have in your place, the larger it will look. If you walk into a room and see a huge couch in front of you, that room won’t look as big as it would if the couch were on the far end of the room. Give this a shot and see if it makes a difference in your home!
Remember to add rugs.
Before you put any furniture down in your apartment, you should think about your rug situation. Rugs are essential pieces for any apartment because they segment the room into different areas. Rugs transform your living room from being one giant square to being a medley of different sections for reading, watching TV and relaxing. Be sure to spend some time in the rug section next time you’re out shopping for furniture.
Invest in furniture with storage.
When we talk about furniture with storage, we’re talking about ottomans, couches and some bed frames. If you can create extra storage space by buying multi-purpose furniture, you can create extra space in other parts of your apartment.
Those are all the apartment furnishing tips we’ve got to share with you this week, residents!
